ATTENTION SECURITY INDUSTRY

We are under a very serious attack by our policymakers that actually know nothing about our industry.
Over the past several years politicians have introduced legislation that would have placed unjust burdens on us!
Please read the following and understand that we must secure our rights in the security industry.

PRESENT AND PAST PROPOSED LEGISLATION

REMOVAL OF THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY CLAUSE FROM OUR CONTRACTS.

This would enable our customers to sue us above the stated dollar limitation on our contracts. Few if any insurance companies would write policies in NYS, and they’re informing us our rates would likely quadruple.

REPEAL OF THE EVERGREEN CLAUSE FROM OUR CONTRACTS.

The Evergreen clause allows our contracts to renew on a monthly basis after the original contract term. Repeal of this clause would force security companies to have new contracts signed by their customers after the original term expires. No security or insurance company would conduct business without a valid and binding contract. You would have to send and follow for all new contracts from your customer base every 3 to 5 years.

ELIMINATION OF THE NYS ALARM ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

This would take away our voice in administering our security license.

NONE OF THIS OCCURRED DUE TO NYSESA AND OUR LOBBYIST.
