New York Alarm Political Action Committee

This legislative session in Albany, the NYALARM PAC continues to monitor important bills and initiatives that can affect the Security and Fire alarm industry in New York State. The bills that we are monitoring are attached as part of this update. Click here to view. Of particular note, is the efforts of the NYALARM PAC to continue to seek passage in the Assembly of the exemption for the Security and Fire Alarm industry of the requirements of the Evergreen Law. This currently puts a burden on both the consumer and industry to use certified mail for contract renewal notifications. This bill has stalled in the Judiciary Committee in the past. This committee has a new chair this year and with the work of our lobbyist and members of the NYSESA, we are optimistic that is will move in committee this session. The Senate has passed the bill for the last several years. Your contribution to the NYALARM PAC makes a difference for the industry.
